Dr. Joseph Wild (1834-1911)

Dr. Joseph Wild (1834-1911) was the Pastor of the Elm Place Congregational Church in Brooklyn New York until 1882. According to the Brooklyn Daily Eagle in 1908 it was “ranked as one of the strong pulpit forces of Brooklyn.” After a fire which destroyed the church in 1882, he then moved to Canada and became the Pastor of the Bond Street Congregational Church in Toronto. He also went on to found Lost Israel Identification Society. In 1882 Dr. Wild wrote the book The Lost Ten Tribes advocating the Anglo Israel message. He also wrote several other books with his written sermons published in them, The Bond Street Pulpit (1888), Dr. Wild’s Sunday Evening Sermons (1891).
