Richard Brothers (1757-1824) was a self-proclaimed prophet [false prophet] and had a group of followers in the late 1700s and early 1800s. He taught the Anglo-Israel message to a degree and spoke about it in his book A Revealed Knowledge of the Prophesies and Times and is often credited with being the inventor of the Anglo-Israel message. Much disinformation has been spread over the past 50 or 60 years promoting Mr. Brothers as the origins of the idea of the Anglo-Saxon people being Israelites. As we have already seen in this book, that is just not true.
